Silk velvet is one of the finest fabrics in the Charles Burger collection, with a smooth lustre and texture only possible with silk. The pattern is based off a wallpaper design originally created for Louis XVI, which was then restored by Charles Burger.
Silk velvet is renowned for being friction resistant and is excellent for use in sofas and chairs.
The glass-like lustre of the pattern is achieved by a process called glazing, giving the piece an overall more elegant and three-dimensional feel.
